When you are considering selling your home and interviewing different agents, remember to ask each of them how they will be marketing your home instead of focusing just on how much commission or fee they will charge. Seller’s agents are skilled in offering constructive advice about helping you make your home showable and should have a marketing outline already prepared. By asking this key question, you will find out quickly how serious that agent is in getting your home sold as quickly as possible. And you can verify that the agent’s plan meets your approval.
If the agent is not prepared to answer that question or does not have much to offer in marketing your home, the commission is irrelevant; because your home will not have the best chance of being sold for the best price in a timely manner.
